How do I compare electricity prices in Ireland?

Compare total annual cost, not the unit rate. Three things decide your bill: the unit rate per kWh, the standing charge you pay regardless of usage, and the PSO levy, which is the same on every plan. A low unit rate paired with a high standing charge can cost a light user more than the reverse.
